“The Green 500” is the Tree Plantation project aimed to plant 500 tree saplings in and around the Arani town panchayat. The project started at Arani Town Panchayat by Arani ExNoRa and Pillars of India. The tree plantation project was inaugurated by The Chairman of Arani Town Panchayat on 19th August 2012. The President of Arani ExNoRa and the volunteers of Pillars of India, Arani ExNoRa was involved in the first session of the Green 500 project at Arani Town Panchayat. It is a major project on tree plantation, started very first time in Arani. The motive of the project is to give awareness on the importance of trees and tree plantation events to the society. In the first session of the project, trees were planted in the streets and Girls Govt. Higher Secondary School, Arani.
